We are group of students from all different backgrounds and ages at Dalhousie interested in Barbell sports. Once a week we train together in the high performance room with a coach to improve our skills. This club promotes community within barbell sports at Dalhousie and is an amazing place to start out powerlifting/weightlifting or just meet people in the sport! DalMUN is a society focused on simulating United Nations discussions. Delegates will be given country assignments to represent their stance on diverse topics, debating amongst others at continent-wide conferences. The essence of DalMUN is to foster a competitive and supportive environment. This environment will give individuals the chance to foster their leadership and public speaking skills, and also make new friends.

Dalhousie Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Team (DAT)

Autonomous underwater vehicles present a unique challenge which requires careful planning and extensive testing to successfully and reliably complete tasks underwater without human interference. This objective presents designers and engineers with a unique framework to operate in, and to design systems which are used to accomplish a common goal. Competitions are held which allow University students, and other non-professional AUV designers, to participate in a competitive environment which encourages planning, innovation, and success. The mission of the Dalhousie Autonomous Underwater Vehicle team is to research, design, build, test, and compete at various events while allowing students to learn in a technical and collaborative environment.

Kings & Dalhousie Bike Society

The Centre & its rentals are run by students, for students - we host rides and events and offer free bike loans to Dal & King's students as well as a shop for bike repairs. We believe that helping people feel comfortable and confident working on their bike can help them save money, feel empowered, and show how fun and rewarding doing your own repairs can be. Our well-equipped shop has affordable parts and is staffed by knowledge

We bring together students to take a break from the strife of campus life and studying to relax and enjoy some light-hearted competition and cooperation with their peers.

We aim to foster a sense of community for students in the Biomedical Engineering program.
Our society mainly organizes social events for our students and facilitates communication between between students and the faculty. This is all in an effort to foster a sense of community in our program. This is important because our students come from very diverse scientific backgrounds and work on a diverse set of research problems. But, we are also physically separated in buildings across the 3 Halifax campuses.

This society is for graduate students within the Masters in Marine Management (MMM) program. Each year MASS runs the Sustainable Ocean Conference, available at the social media and website addresses below. The Sustainable Ocean Conference 2023 title is Turning Tides, which will explore marine management that promotes the interdisciplinary, intersectional, and intergenerational nature of the ocean science field. This event is free and open to all students!

Health and Human Performance Graduate Student Society (HAHP GSS)

The HAHP GSS aims to use funding/resources to aid  graduate students within the department. The top priorities are ensuring  students have access to resources that keep well-being and morale high, 
while assisting them with any issues they have academically or  personally. 

The HAHP GSS exists to represent the voices of graduate students in the School of Health and Human Performance and to provide them with opportunities to optimize their graduate student experience. 

Biology Organization of Graduate Students (BOGS)

The main goal of the Dalhousie Biology Organization of Graduate Students (BOGS) is to support the interests of graduate students within the Biology Department at Dalhousie University. We do our best to represent student voices at departmental meetings (Committee of the Whole, COW), and to encourage departmental mingling. As a biology grad student, you are automatically a member of BOGS!

We perform a wide variety of a capella music on, off, and around Dal/King's using only our voices!
