Accessing the food bank
The food bank's hours of operation are changing, please see the registration page for updated* information. (Information may change per week so please read the registration info carefully)
Food insecurity is a problem in the student community. Sometimes money doesn't come in, loans get delayed, or you've got other expenses that suddenly appear. Don't worry - whether you need long term assistance or just a few meals to get by, come visit the Food Bank.
How to Access
Fill out the DSU Food Bank Registration Form before you visit and select your appointment time.
You MUST bring your ID:
If you are a student, bring your Student ID or any form of ID (any current university/college ID card).
If you are a community member, you must show ID with a picture, full name, and date of birth
The food bank is located on the lower level of the Dalhousie Student Union Building.
Please only come to the food bank half an hour in advance. If There is a line up, please stay to the side of the hallway in line until you are able to access the food bank area.
Please note: You may access the food bank once every seven (7) days.

Registration closes two hours before the scheduled food bank open period. You will not receive a confirmation email so make sure to note which time you have selected.
