DSU Fundraiser for:
Palestinian Students & Scholars at Risk
The DSU is partnering with the Palestinian Students and Scholars at Risk Program (PSSAR) to support Palestinian students and scholars affected by genocide in Palestine, helping them access education and resources at Dalhousie University and other universities across Canada.
This is one of the biggest fundraisers in DSU's history, and we want to ensure it reaches as many people as possible.
The fundraiser is open to everyone and anyone who wishes to contribute.
OUR GOAL:
Our starting goal is to raise $30,000, which will provide funding for approximately 15 students.
This will cover the following:
Admissions and tuition fees
Visa and travel support
Housing and living expenses
Other essential needs to ensure a successful academic experience
Help us reach our goal. Make a difference today!
Why this matters:
The PSSAR initiative is a nationwide effort to provide Palestinian students and scholars with opportunities to continue their education despite the hardships they face. Through your support, we can provide them with a chance to thrive in academic environments across Canada.
By contributing, you are helping to:
Provide financial relief to Palestinian students struggling with tuition and living costs.
Support academic inclusion and create a welcoming community at Dalhousie and across Canada.
Stand in solidarity with Palestinian students and scholars in their pursuit of higher education.
Help students flee the genocide and find safety and stability to pursue their dreams.
