Dalhousie Curling Club Society

The Dalhousie Curling Society provides curlers with any level of curling experience an opportunity to get on the ice and improve their skills with other members of the Dalhousie community.
Competitive men's and women's teams will be selected through a series of tryouts each year in the fall to represent Dalhousie University at the Atlantic University Sport Championship and U SPORTS Championship (national) events. We encourage all members (on the team or not) to join the curling intramurals because practice makes perfect!!

Dalhousie Running Club
Dalhousie Running Club is a club aimed at uniting students through weekly 5K runs. Our mission is to create an environment where individuals of all running abilities can support one another and share their love for running! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, our club is dedicated to promoting an inclusive atmosphere for all. Dalhousie Melee Society (DMS)
We are the Dalhousie Melee Society (DMS) and we host weekly Super Smash Bros. Melee video game tournaments on Dal campus! We are a group of gamers who emphasize inclusion and fun, while maintaining a healthy competitive environment. We have a very friendly community dedicated to helping new players learn the game, find events, and rallying help to organize and setup events. We also run events off campus including multiple monthly tournaments and general gatherings. So, if you're interested in playing some Melee, then come find us and play some MELEEEEEEEE!

Dalhousie Exchange Society
The Dalhousie Exchange Society is focused on making the whole “exchange” experience as fun and easy as possible. We strive to help all students get the most of their experience either leaving Dal, or coming to Dal. Students are invited to participate in events, and are encouraged to make Dal a more warm and welcoming place.
Dalhousie Squash Club
The Dalhousie Squash Club (DSC) is a great place to meet other squash enthusiasts and work on improving your game. Membership in the DSC is free and is open to anyone with access to the Dalplex. We run weekly drop-in nights, fun tournaments, the Dalhousie Open, social events, and coaching clinics. If you are new to the game, or and experienced squash player, there is something for everyone in Dalhousie Squash Club.
Dalhousie/King's Crafting Society
Our goal is to create a safe space for students to craft and meet others who craft! We plan to organize crafting sessions, workshops, and field trips to craft stores/fairs. Whether you are a seasoned crafter or interested in starting a new hobby, we would love for you to join us and explore the world of crafts!
Ninety Percent Society
Ninety Percent Society is a group of undergraduate Dalhousie University students who feel passionate about mental health and social justice. The society includes students in a variety of programs and years of study. The lived experience, compassionate attitude, and collaborative skills of this diverse group allows for informed, progressive advancements in the sector of eating disorder treatment.
Middle Eastern and North African Women at Dalhousie Society
Our society's purpose is to provide a safe and welcoming space for Middle Eastern and North African Women at Dal. This society seeks to bust stereotypes, taboos, myths and cultural barriers by sharing our experiences regarding being both female and people of color. MENAWD also seeks to unite and empower women regardless of their spoken language(s), ethnicity/ies, nationality/ies, country of birth, religion, financial status, etc…
Dalhousie Bangladesh Student Society (DBSS)
Dalhousie Bangladesh Student Society (DBSS) has been functioning from 2016 as the core society for the Bangladeshi students at Dalhousie University. The activities of the society involve helping new incoming students for their initial settlement and accommodation in Halifax, organizing social and cultural events, and helping DAL Bangladeshi students to navigate through their University life smoothly.

DalDance Society
DalDance offers high-quality recreational dance practices for dancers of every skill level! We offer a variety of styles of dance, including classical dance (tap, jazz, ballet, etc.) and some additional classes in street styles (hip-hop, heels, etc.). In the Fall term we focus on technique and fun combinations, and in the Winter term we offer a performance opportunity with our annual DalDance recital!

Dal Knitting Club is a society where all levels of knitters get together to help the Halifax community by knitting items like hats, mittens, dishcloths and more for charities, homeless shelters, and other organizations seeking donations. It's a great opportunity to learn or improve a hobby while helping the Halifax community!
