Dalhousie Tennis Club

The Dalhousie Tennis Club aims to create a fun and competitive environment for interested students to improve and develop their tennis skills. The competitive men’s and women’s teams practice 2-3 times through the school year and compete in the Atlantic University Tennis League, attempting to qualify for Nationals as the regional representative. The club also runs occasional fundraisers and “try tennis” events for community members interested in learning more about the sport at a recreational level. In the past school year, the club had 25 members who practiced and competed throughout the year, with 5 members as club executives.

The Dalhousie Tennis Club is important for the student community because it provides an opportunity for students to continue improving and developing their tennis skills in a friendly community. The club also provides a space for students to improve their health and wellbeing, as regular practices and fitness sessions ensure students have some time away from school. Lastly, the club has an important social aspect, as it has helped cultivate friendships between students and create a greater sense of identity with the Dalhousie community.
