Dalhousie Sailing Team

The competitive dinghy sailing team practices and races in 420s, a 2-person dinghy. The Dalhousie Sailing Team is a member of the Canadian Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (CICSA) and competes in regattas across Canada.

The Keelboat team practices and races in J22s at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron in the Northwest Arm. This team competes nationally in CICSA events and provides opportunities for international competition.

Recreational sailing is available for Dalhousie students with or without sailing experience. If you have always wanted to sail or have just taken a break from the water and are itching to get back in a boat, the recreational program is a great option. The recreational team sails J22s, a twenty-two foot boat with the capacity of 5-6 people including a qualified skipper.
