The goal of AHAS is to promote the professional and academic interests of all members of the School of Health Administration and to facilitate connections between faculty, students, alumni, and local community contacts. Members of the executive team encourage fellowship among members, host events for students ranging from professional development to community engagement, and ensure that there is broad participation in student governance through a fair and just election process and sub-committee membership.

PennyDrops Dalhousie Chapter

PennyDrops is a national not-for-profit organization with chapters at multiple universities across the country. The goal of PennyDrops is to teach students financial literacy skills, so that they can acquire the tools they need to reach their financial goals. PennyDrops conducts presentations on various topics, such as investing, budgeting and credit. The presentations are made to Dalhousie students and high school students at local high schools. The role of members who are involved in the society is to give presentations.

Hello! We are the Dalhousie Beekeeping Society! We are an exciting society that currently manages 6 beehives. Our society invites members, students, and staff to join us on hive inspections, where individuals are educated on the importance of pollinators and gain hands on experience with bees. The society holds various meetings and workshops throughout the year where individuals can learn from guest speakers about beekeeping practices, the importance of native pollinators, and of course about our own hives!

We sponsor the education and resettlement of refugee students at Dalhousie University. As a part of WUSC's Student Refugee Program, our local campus committee contributes towards creating access to education for displaced youth from conflict-torn areas of the world.

DalOut’s goal is to create a safe and accepting place for 2SLGBTQIA+ and questioning folks at Dalhousie University and in the community. Through regular events on and off campus we aim to connect students with others in the queer community. We have queer support navigators with regular office hours to help provide students with resources and next steps. In addition, the society also has educational and sexual health resources.
