The Dalhousie Pre-Dental Society (DPDS)

Hi! We’re The Dalhousie Pre-Dental Society! Our role in the Dalhousie student community is to inform and support students hoping to enter the field of dentistry. Interested in meeting fellow pre-dental individuals, learning about the application process and how to maximize admission into dental programs? This society is for you! DPDS helps provide a starting point to students unsure where to start their journey by encouraging and informing Dalhousie students about all of the opportunities dentistry can offer. We hope to build a pre-dental community of members who support and uplift one another, while assisting students in their endeavors.

We are planning on hosting many events throughout the school year such as information sessions about dental schools in Canada and their admission requirements, help sessions regarding the Dental Aptitude Test (DAT), host current dental students to talk about their experiences, interact with the Halifax community by inviting local dentists to speak about their career, organize networking events with professionals in dentistry, host various seminars, and build a sense of community with like-minded individuals pursuing the same goals.
