Our team has crafted a one-of-a-kind orientation week experience that is exhilarating and engaging, while ensuring we facilitate a safe and welcoming space for all students.
Whether you’re an international student joining Dalhousie from across the world or a Halifax local, we aim to foster fun and inclusive events to help welcome all incoming students into our Dalhousie community.

Care Hub | Studley Quad
The Care Hub is the one stop shop for all of your orientation week needs. We will have people to answer any questions you have about Dalhousie, snacks, water, charging stations, and personal hygiene and sexual wellness supplies for you. Come by for some information or just to say hi!
Off Campus Students Lounge | SUB 2nd Floor
The Off Campus Student Lounge is a home base for students during O-Week, who are not living in residence! Come to the Student Union Building on the 2nd floor to take a rest, grab a drink, and unwind in between events!
Free Store | Dalplex Field House
Moving in? Looking to save money and reduce your ecological footprint?Visit Dal's Free Store! It's a student’s one-stop shop for free school supplies, and household items like kitchenware, decor, and more!
The pop-up is located in the Dalplex Field House (6260 South Street) on the Studley campus (see map). Follow the floor decals to find the way from the entrance. Open Friday, August 30 to Friday, September 6, 2024, from 10 am to 2 pm, while supplies last. The Free Store promotes sustainability and affordability by giving gently used items a new life. Whether you're looking for something unique or want to contribute to a sustainable campus community, the Free Store has something for everyone. Visit bit.ly/dal-free-store for more details.
